Title: Utilizing SAS and JMP in Six Sigma Projects
Date: Wednesday, March 12th
Time: 3:00-5:00pm
Where: IUPUI Campus, Building HS
(Health Information & Translational Sciences Building)
Intersection of 10th & West Streets

Presenters:
Mark Kays, President, Interclarity Research & Consulting, Inc.
Joanne Kays, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Interclarity Research & Consulting, Inc.

Abstract:
The goal of Six Sigma is to minimize the number of defects in a process or product and reduce the variation of the process. Traditionally utilized to make improvements in manufacturing environments, Six Sigma methods are now being applied in transactional businesses, such as insurance and health care. In this presentation, we will discuss the basics of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology used in Six Sigma projects. We will also demonstrate how SAS and JMP can be employed in each phase of DMAIC.
